Welcome to the Old Schoolhouse Gallery situated in the picturesque fishing village of Carradale, with stunning views across Kilbrannan Sound towards Arran, and the magnificent sweeping Carradale Bay.

Anne, Sarah and Mudita are full members of Art Map Argyll, and we participate in the Annual Open Studio event. You are welcome to come and browse and purchase a range of locally produced art works.

A small stone building at The Network was once a school for local children and represents another piece of local history. The building has been renovated, thanks to the generosity of local tradespeople and to volunteers from our community.

It’s hard to imagine that the tiny stone building next to the Network Heritage Centre in Carradale was once a school.

Originally built as the North Lodge of the Carradale Estate, between 1887 and 1891 it became the village’s infants’ school, with 12 to 15 children attending.

This was because the main school, located further up the road in Carradale Glen, was regarded as too far from home for youngsters to travel on foot.
